Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club is situated south of Chelmsford in the picturesque Essex Countryside. Established in 1809, WMCC has a proud history within the local community of accommodating Cricket to a broad range of ages and abilities, which we continue to do throughout the year. Within the Summer two Saturday XI sides compete within the 1st and 7th divisions of the T-Rippon Mid-Essex Cricket League. The club currently has one Sunday XI, which participates in a combination of both friendly and Warsop Sunday League Cricket. Additionally, the club also manages a T20 XI that play within the mid-week period. Furthermore, during the Winter WMCC operates five teams across multiple indoor leagues within both Braintree and Chelmsford. WMCC is extremely fortunate to benefit from a well-maintained private ground, practise facilities as well as a clubhouse that includes a licensed bar for the use of our members and their guests. The club promotes social events throughout the season and further information regarding these can be found within the website. During January to April indoor nets are held within the Graham Gooch Indoor Cricket Centre, at the Essex County Cricket Ground, from 9pm-10pm. During April to September outdoor training sessions are scheduled at the club from 6pm-8pm.
