Match report Woodham won the toss and invited Gt Waltham to bat first. The opening bowlers of Southgate and Hayman bowled well and restricted the runs and put pressure on the batsman. Bridge batted well but was bowled by first change bowler Brown. The runs were still hard to come by and apart from a spirited 16 from Shaw the wickets tumbled with some consistency. The final score 75 from 19.4 overs. Brown and Southgate opened for Woodham and despite some good bowling from Shaw and Z Dryer managed to keep the scoreboard ticking. Southgate retired on 25, Smith came in and carried on the good work, Brown was then out to a smart catch from the wicketkeeper. Guppy came in and with Smith see the Woodies home. I would like to thank Gt Waltham for their help with Hayley Thorogood who was injured during the game and was taken to casualty. Girl of the game for Waltham was Mary Shaw and for Woodham was Sophie Southgate.
