Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club Lost by 38 runs

Match report After losing the toss and being asked to bowl we felt we had a good enough bowling attack to do some damage. Unfortunately we had Great Baddow's Premier opener to contend with and he proved the difference scoring a blistering 86 runs. Keith Mitchell the pick of our bowlers.
As we pondered chasing down 162, again I felt we had the batting line up to do it, but with the top 3 gone with the score on 42 it left a lot for the rest of the team to do. Nigel and Stephen Richardson set about scoring some runs and after 11 overs we were 80 odd and within touching distance of the run rate. with the fall of Stephen and then Nigel the task was beyond us. Our Man of the Match goes to Nigel Richardson for some proper cricket shots and 28 runs scored on the back of almost zero batting this season!! A great game of cricket all round and thanks to Don for calling the game on.
