Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club Won by 28 runs

Match report Reddin won the toss and elected to bat. Andy Smith and Connor Hayman opened the batting against some good seam attack. Andy played a splendid knock just failing to reach his 50; LBW for 49. WMCC reached 125 with help from Beames (16), and Marshall (17).
Wickets fell regularly for Boreham who were always just behind the run rate. Pick of the bowlers was Dr John Woodrow with 3 wickets. Cameron Hayman had a game of note with a wicket and a catch. The Woodham catching did not reach the standard of recent weeks with six dropped chances, but in fairness the ball was like a bar of soap.
Woodham eventually ran out winners by 28 runs.
Finally, I would like to remind everyone that we are a team and there is a need for all players to help with the umpiring and scoring etc. I would also ask players to accept any umpiring desisions given. This great game is bigger than all of us and my expectations as skipper are; we play hard, we play fair,we play to the rules and most importantly we play to the "Spirit Of Cricket".
