STATEMENT FROM THE WOODHAM MORTIMER COMMITTEE
It is with regret that we have had to announce the suspension of all recreational cricket at Woodham for the foreseeable future. All indoor fixtures, all winter nets are now cancelled. We have had communication from the T Rippon committee (sent this morning) and we will keep everyone up to date as emails come in.
We have updated the website with all cancelled games and rolled the website over to the 2020 outdoor season. Currently we have the following events booked in April:
Saturday 11th April 10am Club Clean Up Day
Saturday 11th April 1pm Golf Day at Woodham Mortimer Golf Range
Monday 13th April 1:00pm 20/20 v Tillingham Away
Saturday 18th April 10am Club Clean Up Day
Sunday 19th April 1pm Friendly v Terling Home
Sunday 26th April 1pm Friendly v South Fambridge Away
Tuesday 28th April 6pm 20/20 Chelmsford Super Kings Home
We will keep all these events “live” on the website and cancel as we have confirmation, however it looks highly unlikely anything will take place in April.
We are also waiting for further confirmation of what will happen to the T Rippon league. Nathan and Nick will continue with their preparations so as soon as we can we can get back to playing cricket everything will be ready to go.
Whilst we all love the game, everyone’s health must take precedence and we hope the whole membership remains safe and well and ready to don the whites as soon as this global pandemic is behind us.
We will send a separate email regarding annual membership payments. Please read this one as its extremely import for the financial health of our club.
We wish everyone well and hopefully we will see everyone soon
Regards
The Committee
