Match report Back to Wellington Today after emabarrassing ourselves there last year. We expected a tough encounter again so we let the home side bat. They posted 280 off there 40 overs with the bowling being shared by 10 bowlers. Connor and Josh shared the wicket keeping duties. A number of catches went down including another by Beames ~(duly fined) and Manoj took a fine catch in the covers.

After an incredible tea Manoj and Rod started well with a 55 run opening partnership before Manoj fell to the swing bowler. Rod continued to see off their specialist first team spinner before one got round his legs and Ollie Glasson at three didnt bother the scorers.
With any hope of victory pretty much gone by drinks Andy Brown and Matt Oliver added a further 14 runs before Matt nicked one behind.
Beames came to crease and continued easing out runs before trigger finger David Glasson gave Brown out LBW.. to be fair he was pretty plumb!
Hannah Verlander came in at 7 and Hannah and Mark produced an 82 run partnership over the last 12 overs to both remain not out. Hannah on 16 and Mark on 58. Beames takes Man of the Match award for his 58 runs and 2 wickets

Unsuprisingly the delights of Taunton again are beckoning as a number of the boys head out to repeat last nights performances..
