Match report With Ian Ball absent, it was vice captain John Woodrow's turn to lose the toss. Having been put into bat Woodham reached 94 for 2 in 32 overs. With acceleration needed, Neil Friend scored 41 not out, another excellent quickfire innings just when it was needed, and with Marshall scoring 48 and twenties from Fannon and Ollie Glasson Woodham finished on 182 for 7. A par score at best against good Tillingham bowling and fielding. We had to field and bowl really well to get the win but unfortunately were not quite there. Despite an early strike by Sam Older (a good catch from DG mark 2),and a determined effort from everyone, we failed to contain the runs. Although wickets did fall throughout their innings, Tillingham got home with 2 wickets and 6 overs to spare. A special mention for Cameron Hayman, who bowled an brilliant 5 overs conceding only 13 runs.
