Match report Very sporting t20. Woodham fielded first and at 83 all out let Charlie Prudence bat as last man standing and he batted to the last ball (until he was well bowled by Sammy Norman for his second wicket of the night that took the Purleigh total to 101 for 11.

A brilliant debut for Ryan Lugg with some excellent fielding a wicket and 26 not out. (Not played for 5 years apparently! Welcome to Woodham.)
Peggy and Angus bowled well but we needed “more Love” and Josh did not disappoint after being hit for 6 replied with 3 wkts and then his first ever maiden. Well bowled Josh.
Batting James Mickley “saw off the openers” and nearly went 20 overs before retiring on 26 not out.
Thanks for my bro in law Tommy for playing. Not troubling the scorer after playing a pull to the wrong ball that snicked the top of the bailes.
Smith and M Beames (both playing in front of their kids) departed for single figures. Sam O knocked 14 before being bowled by the slower loop of Taylor.
12 needed off last 12 balls but 2 more wkts for Taylor of Nigel and Sam N and a final over maiden “won” the game for Purleigh.

All very friendly and superb food in the Fox and Hounds Pub after the game.
