Match report A SAM OLDER HAT TRICK THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE EVENING!

Another great game against our old friends from Boreham. We felt we set a competitive total of 128,if a touch short of a par score, on a lovely Woodham batting track prepared as usual by Don and Nathan. I even made Neil Friend give up keeping duties as I felt we needed another bowler to help defend a not too large a total.

I need not have worried! Sam Older and Cameron Hayman took six between them off 29 runs, including Sam first ever hat trick! He finished with 4 wickets for 8 runs off 4 overs. It's probably going to be hard to beat those figures.

A request to the fantasy league coordinator to include hat tricks in the specials column please.

The game was essentially over at that point and we ran out winners by 53 runs after allowing the last man to stand.

As always thanks to the Boreham boys for another enjoyable game, and I am sure they will be more than ready to come back at us in the return fixture later in the season.
