Match report The Sun gods certainly shine on Woodham as we headed out on Tour for the 4th year in a row.

First fixture a return encounter with Burham on Sea. We agreed to let the home side bat in a 30 over game and they produced a very tidy 193 for 4 off there 30 overs. Woodhams bowlers were still a little bit rusty after the bus trip and captain Andy Brown decided to start with the 2 specialist spiiners in Ollie Glasson and Matt Oliver. Matt bowled a very tidy 6 overs being unluckty not to take a wicket.Connor Roger and George filled in the gaps with there usual style with Connor picking up 2 wickets and Roger and George one a piece.
David Glasson was unlucky to take a wicket after Beames dropped a sitter in the deep; a very rare occurance! A fine was duly paid by Beames.
A quick turnaround saw our openers Roger and Connor take to the square. Connor quickly departed trying to hit over cover and Roger hit a credible 33 to take top batting honours and The Man of the Match award for his runs and wicket.
New boy Toby Pateman started his tour in blocking mode; seeing off the opening pair before being bowled for 13. Neil Cook and Olie Glasson the only other 2 batsman to really bother the scorers. Ollie scoring runs at number 10 with a reverse sweep and a paddle sweep!
Andy Brown got a golden duck and was duly fined, whilst Beames was given out LBW by Hannah Verlander, probably the easiest decision she will ever make!

Once again Burnham were a bit too strong for us but we used 6 bowlers and everyone got a bat.

We retired to the club house for sausage and chips and Thursday night in Taunton beckoned!
