Asian Warriors v Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club INDOOR OVER FORTY SIX on Thu 26 Sep 2013 at 21:00pm
Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club Lost by 4 wkts

Match report The opening game in this year’s mini Over 40s season was against pre-tournaments favourites, The Asian Warriors. We won the toss and decided to bat. Ball and Beames made a decent steady start but the rest of the side were unable to push on and make enough runs. We were probably 20 short of what was needed but admittedly there was some decent bowling to face.

Final result was a loss by 4 wickets with ten ball left.

The Woodham highlight was a wonderful caught and bowled by John Strange who was the only bowler to take a wicket.

Man of the match for WMCC was Manoj with a very tidy two overs against a very good batting attack. Five runs off two over against this team is exceptional.

We need to be hitting at least 12 runs per over and setting oppositions 120. If we can do that we will win more games than we lose.

Next game is in two weeks.
