Match report This was always going to be a difficult match against a very good Marconi side. New to the league I would predict that they will make their way up to division three in the next two years.

II the skipper, Geoff Reddin won the toss and elected to bat. We batted fairly well against a good experienced bowling attack. Reddin retired on 25 enjoying the bowling of Trevor Money. To beat this team we needed 140 plus and we only scored 99 which was not enough. With only losing two wickets we really should have got more. Nick batted well for 20 and was unlike to get run out. One of those backing up runs outs which you just have to take on the chin. Matt struggled to 26 not out with out his fluency of other knocks.

Marconi proceeded to hit the runs off in 7.3 over’s with the loss of only one wicket, our dear friend Neil Collins  The pick of the bowlers was James Dallinger who bowled his three over for only 25 runs and took the only wicket. James bowled a nice line and got some out swing as well.
