Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club Lost by 44 runs

Match report Woodham lost the toss and fielded first against a strong terling side. Chris Collis bowled well at the start. But Terling got a lightening quick start with Craig Marshall struggling a bit for line and length. All the terling batsmen got off to good starts and the scoring was going a really high rate with woodham taking regular wickets.
WMCC bowled alot of wides and Eddie extras was a high scorer for terling. Woodham did however take some good catches and now that the first game is out of the way we can hopefully all get into the indoor cricket mode and play better. Gavin Cook bowled well and took two wickets at crucial times.

The batting for WMCC did not fair well. Both the openers Flash and Damo getting out cheaply. The Terling bowling attack was a good bowling attack but woodham done for themselves with four run outs. Only Chris Collis shined by scoring 41 with four sixes.

All in all not the greatest of starts for WMCC in Div 3 but next week i expect to see us more at the races and hopefully we can get that first win under our belt.
