Match report Back down to earth with a thump!

With 4 regular first team players out this week. Mark Beames captained the side with Ian Ball behind the wicket. Thanks to Connor Hayman for his guest appearence, Ollie Glasson in his first game of the season with his healing Jaw, Manoj Tripathi up from the thirds, and Peter Kettley who stepped in at the last minute to replace a poorly Craig Marshall.

A good batting performance by Three Fields essentially ended this contest. A few good direct hit runouts and a good catch by Manoj got us 5 wickets. Connor the pick of the bowlers taking 2 for 33 off 3.

Ball and Kettley got us off to a pretty good start but after both retiring we struggled to score fast enough.(not for lack of trying!)

The Three Fields slow bowler, Taylor took all our 5 wickets including Ball and Kettley on their return to the crease.

Braintree Youth next on November the 3rd. The runners up from 2012/13 and perennial cup favourites.

I fancy our chances..........
