Match report Invited to bat on a hard flat pitch, with a short boundary was a bit of a risky call, especially when the OC openers started off at a brisk pace. However, the ever reliable WMCC bowlers still proved a difficult combination with only Cranfield (76) keeping the attack at bay. OCs posted 170-6 from 45 overs which left WMCC in confident mood for chasing the runs down.

And WMCC set about the task in a positive way, with runs flowing at the required rate. Ball and Fannon batted from start to finish to achieve 171-0 in 28.5 overs to set up a 10 wicket win.

The WMCC machine is looking strong as it enters the final matches and, although, not all players have had an opportunity to shine in recent weeks, their talents will undoubtedly be required if we are to achieve our target in the next 3 weeks. An excellent win and one which sets up an interesting few weeks ahead...
