Match report The 1st VI ventured to Braintree College for the first time to face Three Fields. Winning the toss and electing to field, WMCC bowled and fielded superbly, restricting Three Fields to a score of 106-5, well below par for the larger playing area. There were 3 wickets for the slow left arm of Peggy Mitchell, the other two run outs, including a direct hit from dead eye Druid, lethal from a few yards.

Despite the early loss of Fannon (0), runs flowed in the chase, and after 3 overs, WMCC had reached 47. However, as quickly as runs were scored, wickets also fell, as Smith, run out (11), Shaw also falling in the same manner for 3, and Wade bowled by Dakin without scoring, the task became too much for WMCC, and despite 38 from Wright, ended the run chase 33 short of the the target, all out for 73 with just under half the alloted overs remaining.
