please note the following:
Welcome back to our League website, now at this new address. Very soon I shall be able to update the fixture lists, but first I must relay the news that substantial changes have had to be made since the AGM in April. Sadly, since that time, we have lost Coggeshall Hamlet, and it would appear that we are also losing Braintree Youth, which many of you will find staggering.
I have already drawn up the fixture lists with both teams included.Obviously now they will have to be hastily redone, and I am also going to take this opportunity to reduce the League down to four divisions with eight teams in each, against the 8, 7, 7, 7, 5 set up that was agreed with 34 teams participating. I hope that everyone will understand the reasons behind this sudden change, and not object to it greatly. This will lead to many teams not now participating in the divisions they thought they were going to be. Also the Cup draws will just have those two teams removed from the draw accordingly, which I believes moves one Preliminary Round contest to being a First Round contest.
The new set up of four divisions of eight teams will be as such:
Division One: Three Fields, Coggeshall, Witham, Braintree, Woodham Mortimer, Little Bardfield Village, Braintree College, and Earls Colne.
Division Two: Witham Reserves, Rayne, Helions Bumpstead, Sampfords, Gosield, Terling,Woodham Mortimer Reserves, and Braintree Reserves.
Division Three: Boreham, Earls Colne Reserves, High Easter, University of Essex, Terling Reserves, Kelvedon & Feering, High Garrett, and Rayne Reserves.
Division Four: Boreham Reserves, Marconi, Little Bardield Village Reserves, Braintree College Reserves, Kelvedon & Feering Reserves, Woodham Mortimer III, Sampords Reserves, and Rayne III.
I have received confirmation of the dates and times with the Leisure Centre, but I still have not heard anything back from the College. As soon as I have recompiled the fixtures I will post on the site. The first day of the season is Sunday October 12th 2014.
