Happy 2017 to everyone!!! Only 105 days until the first outdoor game! The annual early bank holiday game at Tillingham. We will be the first to try out their newly laid wicket!
so a few updates:
1) nets start this Thursday at 9pm and run for 15 weeks. I have just found out that Essex is now charging for parking in the main carpark. I am unsure if the charge also applies to the parking near the indoor center so we will have to wait to find out if it will cost us. If so I will talk to Kev about reducing the cost to cover the parking. We can start nets a bit earlier this week so please try to make it for 8:30.
2) 20/20 fixtures are all posted
3) Sunday fixtures are coming along. I am just waiting for the Warsop league fixtures to be issued
4) We have applied to play in the national village Cup. www.nationalvillagecup.com . The first game is on April 30th and the draw will be on Feb 15th
5) No news yet on where we will be in the T Rippon as Sandon is the latest club to fold. We still think Div 3 and 8 but we will need to wait till divisions are finalized
6) Annual Subs are due for those who want to go early, and are due by the First of May Please. Subs are as follows:
senior Subs: £75.00
junior Subs: £45.00
Friends of Woodham £15.00
The earlier people pay the quicker the coffers are replenished after the expenses of the winter and pre season. Please email treasurer@woodhammortimercc.co.uk when you make a payment so we can keep track.
7) Possible tour 2017. I am more than happy to organise a tour for 2017. It would be Thursday 7th until Sunday 10th of September, however I would need the commitment of 15 players. please let me know if you would consider it on beames2@btinternet.com or 07718585798.
