Match report The second game of the season and the first for the captain, Batting first the 3rds got off to a steady start. This was soon hampered with both openers being run out. From this point the run rate dried up with Matt Fawcett being the only player to make a score retiring on 31. All out for 91 was a poor performance and would be difficult to defend. Four of the Braintree College had economy rates in single figures which was a good effort on their part.

The opposition won the game in 8.4 over’s proving that the target was too low. But we did manage to get four out and gain four points with Reddin creaking his arm over for the best team figure of 1-17. The fielding was good with some standout back wall stopping by Sam Older and catches by Karkocki and Reddin.
