Match report Braintree Reserves won the toss and batted first. Tight bowling by woodham at the start of the innings meant that Braintree were restricted to 43 off the first four overs. The tight bowling continued with J. Dallinger bowling his first 2 overs for just 16 runs and getting one of the openers out. J. Smith batted well for Braintree reserves and soon got his 25 to retire. Due to the amount of pressure being put on by tight bowling the wickets began to fall with two run outs. Peter Kettley bowled well at the end of the innings and took a wicket as well as James coming back to bowl J. Murphy. Braintree reserves got to 123 off their 12 overs due to some good batting from J. Smith at the end.

Woodham started the reply well with both Fannon and C.Collis back in the Hutch retired before 5 overs had gone. A slight calamity with the running out of Flash and Gavin getting bowled. But Peter and James saw us home with 2 overs to spare. Overall a very tidy performance by wmcc and should mean that we go second in the league.
