I thought I'd write to say how much I enjoyed reading the match report on the 1st XI match v Thurrock 2nd XI on August 29. As the umpire on the day I can say the report captures the essence of this strange and low scoring game very well. I wish more teams would write match reports. My congratulations to the author, as well as to the team on becoming league champions.
