Steve Issacs is struggling to get umpires for an hour on sunday night. It has obviously been a bit of a nightmare this year for him so I am going up to umpire for an hour at 8:30 just to help out.

This means that the firsts and thirds are postponed and as the seconds were due to play Helions Bumpstead we do not have any games this weekend unfortunately, (from three teams to none!)
I will keep everyone in touch with developments.
A special thanks to Mo Zubair, Mike Jones Jack Preston (and umpiring) for offering to play for the thirds when we were short, but unfortunately we no longer have any games! Perhaps you could all cough up membership fees next year (only 50 quid) and join the club proper as its members like you the club needs!!
What happens now is anyone's guess but I will keep everyone in touch or just keep an eye on www.bdicl.org. The non members are first in line when we need some players.

Four days before the start and Helions Bumpstead withdraw
I will keep this very brief, but Helions Bumpstead have called me this evening to withdraw from the League. As things stand right now, I am close to just giving everything up and closing the League down, with a fifth or sixth fixture re-write now having to be done, along with the possible change of venue, I have reached the point of total dispair.
Helions Bumpstead were also due to officiate the last two Division Two matches at the Leisure Centre.
Maybe the best thing that could happen, after this season, is that we have one team per club, one centre, maybe two divisions and forego our status as the North Essex Area Board league.
