A Thank You from the Kneller Family,
We had a wonderful day yesterday. The weather was "from Heaven" and everyone played their part to perfection. The cricket was good and amusing, the food excellent and the company marvellous. Elizabeth would have been proud and happy.
Maggie, James, Victoria and I would like to say thank you to the President, the Club, the Committee, the players and supporters, the Lady Pheasants who thought of the idea in the first place, to Don and Nathan and to everyone who made yesterday such a memorable occasion. We are also in debt to Terling Cricket Club for making room in their fixtures to allow their players play their part.
I am asked to make a special mention of the many ladies who helped Debbie with the splendid teas.
I am about to transfer £406.00 to Kids Alive, Elizabeth's favoured charity. It was fitting that Thomas and Lucas, the little French boys who were "Nannied" by Elizabeth were there to remember her with everyone else.
I would be most grateful if you will publish this letter on the Club website so that we can reach and thank as many as possible who contributed to the day.
I remain, Sirs,
Your humble and obedient Life Member,
Richard D Wood Kneller
