Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club

Dear fellow WMCC members. 

After much deliberation, I have today notified the Committee of my decision to step down as 2nd X1 Captain, with immediate effect. 

During my 5 years at the helm of the 2s, I have had the pleasure of playing with some great players, resulting in 3 promotions and our highest league position in the club's history.  I have continually strived to put out the most competitive side available, whilst fully supporting the 1s, to be fair to all and to play the game in the right spirit. 

The time is now right to step aside and let others progress our club.  Thank you to all those who have supported me in the role, especially to Kev in our efforts to deliver two successful league sides.  Personally, I now look forward to continuing to give my full support to the club, in the immediate future to Kev and the 1s as we attempt to achieve our aim of returning to Div 3. 

Good luck to both teams tomorrow, indeed all the WMCC teams playing over the next 5 days.  Let's get this season started...
