Firstly a big thank you to all those who took part last year, hope to see your teams enter again. Plus, let's get more involved...we had 29 teams from 23 members last year...would be great to have more teams battling it out and ultimately increase the amount of money that goes to the Club.
To freshen things up this year, there's been a few little changes to the game and how its going to run.
The changes that have come in are:
- Increasingly accurate values - you'll notice some changes in players value, these have been calculated based on an average taken between last year's value, the points scored last season and the odd little tweak for new players, injuries etc...
- Points will now be scored for Run Outs.....(but all players will need to ensure that the score books are accurately updated, to ensure that the points are attributed correctly.)
- Points have been increased for Catches and Stumpings....(as it was felt that fielding is an important part of the game and should attract more fantasy league points.)
- There is an earlier deadline this year...on or before Sunday 13th May
- There is no requirement to pay straight away when you submit a team this year....(although everyone will need to ensure payment is made on or before Sunday 1st July
SUBMITTING YOUR TEAM
Once you are sure of your selection, submit your team to Craig Marshall, either in person or by e-mail to cdmarshall83@yahoo.com) The deadline for submission is on or before Sunday 13th May. (There is no team submission form, any format (so long as it is understandable) will do!!)
Give your team a name, any without a name will be given a standard name of "Surnames XI". Any names deemed "inappropriate" by any member of the committee will be also be amended to "Surnames XI".
The entry fee for each team is $5 per team. This should be made to Craig Marshall or alternatively this can be passed onto either your Captain, Chairman or the Treasurer who can then pass this onto Craig. Payment must be made on or before Sunday 1st July.
