BDICL: 2019/2020 SEASON IS NOW ABANDONED. (a few emails coming this mng!)
Following an update from the ECB this morning the league committee has taken the decision to abandon the 2019/20 season from today. Given the fact the winter window we have to fit the fixtures into, and the complete uncertainty surrounding when this pandemic will abate enough to resume some normality, there is no way of completing the final 4 weeks of the season.
The following will now apply
- All remaining league fixtures will be void and each team awarded 7 points
- Final league positions will stand, and be recorded in the league’s records - promotion and relegation will stand as 2 up and 2 down
- If we are able to commence the 2020/21 season on time, we will play the Cup Semi-Finals and Finals as a season prequel the weekend before the league fixtures start
League tables have been updated - next season structure as it stands (no withdrawals or additions have been received officially as of yet)
