The end of the outdoor season and the beginning of indoor!
Last Sunday saw the last outdoor game of the season at home v Rayleigh/Fambridge. Thank you to everyone that
has supported the Sunday side this year. This has easily been the toughest year in terms of getting teams out and
we have had to cancel a record number of fixtures due to a lack of numbers. However it is not just us. Across the county
many clubs have pulled out of Sunday cricket altogether and even Rayleigh/Fambridge who get 77 out on a Saturday,
have struggled to get 11 on a Sunday. Woodham will need to seriously consider what we do on a Sunday next year.
Now for some good news! The indoor season has already got underway with the over 40 team having played 2 already.
I have switched the website over to the 2019/2020 indoor season and all the fixtures are posted. Please update you availability.
The first games are as follows:
Sunday 13th October 9pm Chelmsford league
Sunday 20th October 2pm First six (umpiring from 1-2pm)
Sunday 20th October 6pm second six (umpiring from 5-6pm)
Sunday 27th October 5pm Third six
We have a good squad of 20-25 players for indoor so hopefully we should have a good season. If you want to play indoor just update your availability
