All 2019 outdoor fixtures now posted on the website
With the release of the league fixtures last night we have now posted all 2019 fixtures on the website.
The First Eleven will start their Div 2 campaign at home to High Roding. We shared the spoils against them last season with the home fixture featuring a Dan smith ton! Oh for a repeat of that on the opening day....
The seconds will travel to Rayne. After finishing Division 8 in 7th place, Rayne have been pushed up to the heady heights of Div 7. Under the new look leadership team of Captain Gav Cook and Vice Jack Preston and a few youngsters making their league debuts hopefully the average age of the seconds will collapse!
We have to go back to 2010 for the last meeting where Woodham did the double! The home game featuring runs from Tony Brock and Keith Lester and wickets from a young Connor Hayman and a 'youngish' Stu Phillips.
The return leg was a Woodham Rout when a youthful Steve Collis took 6 wickets for 18 runs off 6 overs to bowl Rayne out for 66. I am sure if you ask him he will be able to recount each one... in detail! (still not his best bowling figures of all time though)
So with all the 2019 fixtures posted the social committee will plan a number of club get together's planned around those games where the ones and twos are in close proximity. Please support as many as you can. These will be posted in the next week.
Hopefully you all saw the Subs reminder sent out yesterday. Please pay up as soon as you can if you are able.
