The Chairman's Christmas Message
As we draw stumps on another year
We recall fond memories with so much cheer;
Of victories and wickets and lots of runs
Cricket at WMCC is so much fun.
Success indoors and outdoors too
Beamesy kept busy with selections to do;
Nigel making plans to take the bails
Dan scoring another hundred without fail.
The Jacks, Toby, Joel and more
So much youth coming through to the fore;
Reasons to be cheerful wherever you look
As long as we play the game by the book!
Nathan unbelievable in sorting the wicket
Just so we can play our beloved game of cricket;
The ground looking resplendent every week
Making each away game oh so bleak.
But to support the club is a must
And in each other we always should trust;
As we improve and hopefully grow
Then up the leagues we will continue to go.
But for now let's say a toast
Before we enjoy our Christmas roast;
To the WMCC family I send a cheer
Of Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.
