WMCC Misson Aims and Ethos 2017

The WMCC Committee have adopted a WMCC mission Aims and Ethos statement for the 2017 season. Any comments please contact a member of the Committee. (And yes there are more emails to come..)

 To provide a safe, secure and friendly environment in which people of all ages and abilities may play and enjoy cricket.

 WMCC Aims for 2017

 The Club will strive to achieve the following during Season 2017/18:

 

  • To run 2 competitive league teams in the TRippon:
    • 1st X1 – to be promoted from Division 3;
    • 2nd X1 – to finish in the top half of Division 7.
  • To run a Sunday X1:
    • Primarily providing an opportunity for non-league playing members to play in friendly games;
    • Successfully enter a competitive side in the Warsop League & Village Cup.
  • To run a 20/20 X1:
    • To enable all playing members to have the opportunity to play;
    • To arrange fixtures with local community/organisations that may benefit local groups and/or WMCC.
  • To run indoor teams:
    • To enable all playing members to have the opportunity to play;
    • Over 40s Chelmsford – separate squads to fulfil 2 teams;
    • Braintree – 3 competitive teams
    • Chelmsford – 1 competitive team
    • Ladies – review potential for a team in Chelmsford Essex CCC league
  • To provide extra events:
    • Tour – to have sufficient numbers to run an end of season tour;
    • Cricket Week – to trial a week of cricket covering a variety of formats for players of all ages and abilities
  • Ground:
    • To ensure Nathan has the relevant tools to maintain a satisfactory playing surface;
    • Nathan is provided with sufficient support to help maintain;
    • To have safe, workable nets to practice;
    • To have an agreed 3 year rolling works plan.
  • Coaching & Development
    • To have the required training equipment available
    • To provide qualified coaching if required
  • Finance:
    • To increase revenue by £1K by next AGM;
    • To increase bar gross profits to between 35-40%
  • Players:
    • 100% of current playing members to have paid subscriptions in full by 01 May 17 (or agreed a payment plan with the Secretary or Treasurer);
    • Playing members to increase by 5;
    • All players to wear WMCC colours on match day;
    • All players to adhere to the WMCC Ethos at all times.
    • To have reviewed the potential for a youth, ladies and/or disability team to play in WMCC colours.
