Match report On a beautiful day near the sea, the twos, buoyed by their win last week, took on a good Great Wakering side. The hosts batted first and, despite good spells of bowling from Barnard and Goodlad, posted an imposing 246-5 with Overall making an excellent century before being stumped off Cook. There were wickets from Oliver, Cook (2), the crippled Barnard and one for our own Karl Pilkington, Nathan Hayman.

In response Richardson looked to be positive making 25 at the top of the order and Fawcett (11) ticked the runs over as Woodham started at an impressive 5 an over. Fannon joined Goodlad and the pair added 129 for the third wicket before the skipper fell. Goodlad continued to the bitter end, ably supported by Glasson, Goode and Cook, smashing a magnificent unbeaten 122 to guide the twos to victory. The match ended with consecutive sixes which capped a wonderful run chase and victory.
