Match report Rain was the victor as repeated heavy showers eventually put paid to this key fixture. Losing the toss and asked to bat, WMCC progressed well despite the rain interventions, and were in a good position on a wet wicket, particularly with Neil Smith (32*) well set. Despite taking an early tea, the heavens opened again, flooding the wicket and ending any chance of the team setting what would have been a challenging total for Galleywood to chase. Other highlights were the opening partnership between Rod Brazier (31) & Mark Beames (18) and the sumptuous tea that Rod also produced, sadly the only feast had during the day.

Hope for brighter weather next week as we visit Hornchurch.
